Glory 25 Weigh-in Results: van Roosmalen, Sitsongpeenong on Weight

Glory 25: Milan will go ahead with Friday’s event as planned. All of the main card combatants as well as the four men in the night’s same-day tournament were all on weight on Friday’s weigh-ins, clearing the path for what should be a solid night of kickboxing.

Headlined by the lightweight championship between titlist Robin van Roosmalen (46-14-3, 14 KOs) and Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Glory 25: Milan will take place at the Palalper in Monza, Italy.

Challenger Sitsongpeenong (103-28-5) was the first to step on the scale for the main event and he made the lightweight limit, coming in officially at 154.3 pounds. Not to be outdone, the Dutch champ tipped the scale at an even 153 pounds.

Returning lightweight legend Giorgio Petrosyan (81-2-1, 36 KO) and rising star Josh Jauncey (23-5, 12 KO) meet in the co-headline bout. Petrosyan and Jauncey both came in at 154.3 pounds.

For the first time in the company’s history, one of its world titles will be at stake during the Super Fight Series of the event, which serves as the precursor to the main card. Featherweight champ Gabriel Varga (26-2, 8 KOs) will defend his crown against Dutch-based Ukrainian Serhiy Adamchuk (30-5, 14 KOs). Varga clocked in at 143.3 pounds while challenger Adamchuk weighed the exact same.

Filling out the Glory 25 main card is a one-night, four-man welterweight contender tournament with championship implications. In the first of two semi-final bouts, Dutch-Surinamese striker Murthel Groenhart (56-18-3, 32 KO) will face off against local fighter Nicola Gallo (22-9-1, 6 KO), followed by Yoann Kongolo (60-5, 45 KO) versus Karim Ghajji (93-10-1, 49 KO). The winner of the tourney will meet Glory welterweight king Nieky Holzken at Glory 26: Amsterdam on Dec. 4.
