Glory 28 will come to fight fans Saturday night in Paris, and thanks to the combatants staying disciplined throughout their respective training camps, the card was given the official green light at Friday’s weigh-ins.
Glory 28 will be televised live in the States on two platforms. The Super Fight Series, which will be headlined by the Glory light heavyweight championship, will be streamed live on the UFC’s Fight Pass starting at 1 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT. The main card, anchored by the Glory heavyweight title fight, will then be televised immediately following the Super Fights on ESPN3 at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
Rico Verhoeven, the defending heavyweight titlist, officially weighed in on Friday at 259.9 pounds. His challenger, Mladen Brestovac, came in at 256.8 pounds.
The light heavyweight title scrap will commence with champion Saulo Cavalari taking on Artem Vakhitov. Cavalari clocked in at 208.6 pounds while his challenger tipped the scale at 207.
A four-man, one-night lightweight contender tournament will bolster the main card as well. Marat Grigorian will take on Anatoly Moiseev in the first bout of the bracket while Sittichai will lock horns with Davit Kiria in the second.
