A proposed featherweight showdown between Godofredo Castro and Kyle Bochniak has been removed from the UFC Fight Night 106 lineup.
The promotion’s Brazilian branch recently announced that both fighters suffered undisclosed injuries that led to the cancellation of the bout. UFC Fight Night 106 takes place in Foraleza, Brazil, on Saturday night and is headlined by a middleweight tilt between Vitor Belfort and Kelvin Gastelum.
Castro has won four of his last five bouts, including a first-round submission of Mike de la Torre at UFC Fight Night 95 on Sept. 24.
After losing his Octagon debut to Charles Rosa, Bochniak rebounded to post a split-decision victory over Enrique Barzola in his most recent outing at UFC on Fox 21 last August.
