Olympic wrestling gold medalist Henry Cejudo missed weight for his scheduled flyweight co-headliner with Elias Garcia at Legacy Fighting Championship 27.

Sherdog.com confirmed the news Friday with LFC promoter Mick Maynard, who verified that Cejudo has been fined and suspended by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for arriving late to the weigh-ins and then tipping scales at 128.5 pounds.

“I know that Henry is embarrassed and disappointed. At this point, I am going to wait until after the fight, sit down with Henry and his management and try to gauge where his head is at before making a decision,” Maynard told Sherdog.com in an email. “Presently, Henry is being fined and suspended by TDLR anywhere between 90 and 180 days for being late to the weigh-ins, and [Cejudo is] giving up half his purse.”

LFC 27 takes place tonight at Houston’s Arena Theatre and is headlined by a welterweight showdown pitting UFC veteran Tim Means against onetime Strikeforce competitor Artenas Young.

Cejudo, 26, pulled out of a planned LFC 25 appearance this past November the day of weigh-ins due to a reported stomach flu. The 2008 freestyle gold medalist made his promotional debut in October, when he outpointed Ryan Hollis at LFC 24. Cejudo has yet to taste defeat as a professional, posting five straight wins to begin his career.
