Golden Boy MMA Salaries: Chuck Liddell ($250K), Tito Ortiz ($200K) Top Payroll



Returning from retirement for one last showdown will prove to be a lucrative endeavor for these two UFC Hall of Famers.

According to information provided to MMAFighting by the California State Athletic Commission, Chuck Liddell will make $250,000 against Tito Ortiz’s $200,000, with both receiving flat rates without win bonuses.

In his last bout with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Liddell made a disclosed $500,000 for fighting Rich Franklin at UFC 115. For Ortiz, his last stint with Bellator MMA at Bellator 170 made him a disclosed $300,000. For their second fight at UFC 66, Liddell made $250,000 to Ortiz’s $210,000, and the first time they met at UFC 47 Liddell received $100,000 against Ortiz’s $125,000.

Liddell (21-8) meets Ortiz (19-12-1) for the third time at this event. Liddell won their previous meetings in 2004 and 2006 by knockout. Coming off a 101-month layoff at the age of 48, Liddell retired in 2010 after suffering a knockout loss to Franklin. Meanwhile, 43-year-old Ortiz last competed 22 months ago, retiring for the second time after submitting Chael Sonnen in 2017.
