The UFC Fight Night card in Zagreb, Croatia, has its first four bouts, including a heavyweight tilt pitting Gabriel Gonzaga against Ruslan Magomedov.
Additionally, Jan Blachowicz will face Igor Pokrajac in a light heavyweight clash, while Nicolas Dalby meets Bartosz Fabinski at middleweight. Meanwhile, Francis Ngannou will lock horns with Bojan Mihajlovic in another heavyweight scrap. The promotion announced the bouts on Thursday.
UFC Fight Night Zagreb takes place at Zagreb Arena on April 10. The headliner for the event has yet to be announced.
A long-tenured UFC heavyweight, Gonzaga halted a three-fight skid in his last outing, as he outpointed Konstantin Erokhin at “The Ultimate Fighter 22” finale. Magmedov has won 14 of his 15 professional appearances, including decision triumphs over Viktor Pesta, Josh Copeland and Shawn Jordan in the Octagon.
A KSW veteran, Blachowicz debuted in the UFC with a first-round stoppage of Ilir Latifi in October 2014 but has since dropped consecutive bouts to Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson. The 36-year-old Pokrajac, who will be fighting in his hometown, has won three straight fights since exiting the Las Vegas-based promotion at the end of 2014.
Dalby is unbeaten in 15 fights but battled fellow prospect Darren Till to a draw in his last appearance at UFC Fight Night “Holohan vs. Smolka.” Fabinski, meanwhile, began his promotional tenure with wins over Garreth McLellan and Hector Urbina in 2015.
The Frenchman Ngannou made his Octagon debut at UFC on Fox 17, where he knocked out Luis Henrique Barbosa de Oliveira in the second round. Mihajlovic, 35, enters his first promotional foray with a 10-3 mark, including six triumphs inside the distance.
