Guido Cannetti vs. Marco Beltran Slated for UFC Fight Night in Mexico City

A bantamweight clash between Guido Cannetti and Marco Beltran has been added to the UFC Fight Night 98 lineup (online sportsbooks) set for Mexico City on Nov. 5.

Promotion officials recently confirmed the pairing. Cannetti and Beltran initially squared off on Season 1 of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America,” with Beltran earning a split decision over two rounds. UFC Fight Night takes place at Mexico City Arena and is headlined by a lightweight clash between Tony Ferguson and Rafael dos Anjos.

Cannetti’s official Octagon debut came at UFC 180, where he suffered a second-round submission defeat to Enrique Briones. He earned his first promotional triumph at UFC 190, taking a unanimous verdict over Hugo Viana in August 2015. He has not competed since that victory.

Beltran, meanwhile, has won three straight to begin his UFC tenure. Most recently, the Mexico City native submitted Reginaldo Viera in the second stanza at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on July 7.
