HBO Boxing Pay-Per-View Weigh-in Results: Andre Ward, Sergey Kovalev Set for Rematch
Andre Ward and Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev are set to square off in what is actually the biggest, best possible matchup that the sport of boxing can produce. Both men rest atop the sport’s pound-for-pound list and with the light heavyweights not overly fond of each other, the rematch could be epic.
Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) eked past his Russian counterpart last November via unanimous decision, though many within the sport felt that Kovalev should have been declared the winner. “Krusher” dropped Ward in the second and nearly had him out, but Kovalev couldn’t put him away. Ward eventually crept back into the fight and took over in the second half, resulting in a hotly-debated win.

Ward was not about to be outdone by his rival and he looked chiseled out of marble when he weighed in. “S.O.G.” was on point as well and came in identically at 175, setting the stage for yet another super fight in the Sweet Science.
The action will be broadcast live from inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on HBO PPV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
