HBO will be bringing fight fans two separate boxing cards on Saturday but the one that the majority of the fight world is talking about is the showdown between Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and Kell Brook. The action will be held inside the legendary O2 Arena in London, with HBO televising the event beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT.
Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) will put his IBF and WBC middleweight titles on the line against Brook, who is the IBF welterweight titlist. At Friday’s weigh-ins, both men came in right on the money for the middleweight limit. Brook (36-0, 25 KOs) tipped the scale at 159.4 pounds while “GGG” was slightly lighter at 158.8 pounds.
Lee Haskins and Stuart Hall will oppose one another for Haskins’ IBF bantamweight title and John Riel Casimero will take on Charlie Edwards for the IBF flyweight strap, though HBO will likely only show highlights of those fights.
