Saying its pending restructuring under new ownership has been extended by the due diligence process, Hardcore Championship Fighting on Tuesday announced the postponement of its May 10 card in Calgary.
Sherdog.com first reported the sale of the Canadian mixed martial arts organization on March 25. HCF CEO Keith Crawford said at the time that the new ownership, rumored to be Golden Boy Promotions, would be announced sometime leading up to the May 10 event.
The new owner, whom Crawford declined to identify, will soon be broadcasting HCF events on a digital channel available to North America and parts of Europe, he said in March.
HCF's May 10 card featured an all-Brazilian main event with
Renato Sobral (Pictures) and
Mauricio Alonso (Pictures). A co-feature between middleweights
David Loiseau (Pictures) and
Evangelista Santos (Pictures) has also been pushed back. Seven other exclusive HCF fighters were scheduled to appear on the card.
