Hartt-Siver Booked for UFC 99
Dale
Hartt -- the man opposite Corey Hill
when “The Ultimate Fighter 5” product snapped his leg at UFC Fight
Night 16 in December -- will collide with Dennis Siver
at UFC 99 “The Comeback” on June 13 at the Lanxess Arena in
Cologne, Germany. A source close to the bout confirmed its
inclusion on the card.
Based out of Team Sityodtong, Hartt (6-1) has yet to go the distance as a professional. The 29-year-old Bangor, Maine, native submitted to a rear-naked choke from Shannon Gugerty in his UFC debut last summer and had the unfortunate experience of being the opponent upon whom Hill broke his leg in a gruesome incident three months ago.
Siver (13-6), a Russian-born German, has won back-to-back bouts since his 36-second technical knockout loss to Melvin Guillard at UFC 86 in July. The 30-year-old national kickboxing champion has proven to be a hit-or-miss competitor inside the Octagon, as he has posted a 2-3 mark inside its confines. Siver last competed at UFC 93 in January, when he stopped Nate Mohr with a spectacular spinning back kick and follow-up punches.
A catchweight bout pairing former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin and longtime Pride Fighting Championships titleholder Wanderlei Silva will headline UFC 99.
