Professional boxing star Heather Hardy has an opponent for her second MMA appearance.
The California-based promotion revealed to the New York Post that Hardy will lock horns with Kristina Williams at Bellator 185 on Oct. 20. Bellator 185 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and features a middleweight showdown between Gegard Mousasi. The evening’s main card airs on Spike.
“I can’t wait for it,” Hardy told the Post. “I made huge improvements in my boxing after every fight and I’m seeing the same thing in MMA. I’m looking forward to getting back in there again.”
Hardy made her debut at Bellator 180, where she scored a third-round technical knockout against Alice Yauger with just 13 seconds remaining in the contest. The Brooklyn native compiled a 20-0 record as a boxer and captured the WBC international featherweight title before setting her sights on MMA.
Williams, meanwhile, will be making her professional debut. She recently earned a unanimous decision against Rachel Young in an amateur contest at Legacy Fighting Alliance 9 on April 14.
