McDermott got his hands on the vacant British Association of Mixed Martial Arts heavyweight championship, as he disposed of Ruben Wolf with second-round punches in the BAMMA 29 headliner on Friday at Genting Arena in Birmingham, England. Wolf (11-10) wilted 53 seconds into Round 2.

improved McDermott to 8-5.
In the co-main event, Yannick Bahati dispatched Matt Hallam with a second-round rear-naked choke to seize the vacant BAMMA middleweight title. Hallam (6-3) bowed out 2:19 into Round 2, his three-fight winning streak at an end.
Bahati, who upped his mark to 8-2, has recorded back-to-back finishes.
Meanwhile, Terry Brazier withstood a knockdown and submitted Walter Gahadza with a first-round bulldog choke to claim the vacant BAMMA Lonsdale welterweight championship.
