Bellator MMA’s next trip to Canada will take place on May 9, when Bellator 119 goes down at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario.

The evening’s main card airs live on Spike TV and will feature the Season 10 heavyweight tournament final, as well as the return of lightweight veteran John Alessio, who will square off with a to-be-named opponent.

The Viacom-owned promotion last traveled north of the U.S. border in Season 7, when Casino Rama hosted Bellator 79 in November 2012. That event featured a pair of tournament semifinals and was topped by Rich Hale’s first-round knockout of Thiago Santos.

Bellator’s Season 10 heavyweight draw kicks off on March 7 at Bellator 111 and will feature four quarterfinal matchups, including a pairing between Hale and former combat sambo world champion Blagoi Ivanov. Onetime Bellator kingpin Alexander Volkov will also be in action, as “Drago” locks horns with Mark Holata.

A 15-year pro, Alessio has gone 0-3 with one no-contest in his last four outings after winning 10 of his previous 11. “The Natural” made his UFC return in 2012 but quickly exited the promotion after suffering back-to-back defeats to Mark Bocek and Shane Roller. The 34-year-old then debuted with Bellator this past September, dropping a unanimous decision to Will Brooks in the Season 9 lightweight quarterfinals.
