Ten months after receiving his walking papers, Walt Harris is back in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The organization Monday announced that Harris has agreed to meet Soa Palelei in a heavyweight matchup at UFC Fight Night “Rockhold vs. Bisping.” Harris replaces Daniel Omielanczuk, who was scheduled to meet Palelei before suffering a broken thumb last week.

Harris exited the UFC in January after suffering back-to-back losses against Jared Rosholt and Nikita Krylov. The 31-year-old “Big Ticket” has since fought once, scoring a first-round knockout of D.J. Linderman in May under the Titan Fighting Championship banner.
Palelei, 36, is also on his second run with the UFC. The Australian “Hulk” went 0-1 in his lone 2007 Octagon outing, but has returned to compile a 3-1 record. Palelei had an 11-fight winning streak snapped by Rosholt in a June unanimous decision.
