Bobby Green has suffered a torn right quad and has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled showdown with Jorge Masvidal at UFC Fight Night on April 4.
Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson has agreed to take Green’s place on the card, which takes place at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., and is headlined by a featherweight tilt pitting Chad Mendes against Ricardo Lamas. Promotion officials announced the change on Thursday.

Masvidal went 3-0 last year, posting three-round verdicts over Pat Healy, Daron Cruickshank and James Krause. The former Strikeforce title challenger is 5-1 in the Octagon overall, with his only loss coming to Khabilov in November 2013.
Green, meanwhile, last competed at UFC Fight Night “Edgar vs. Swanson,” where he dropped a unanimous decision to Edson Barboza on Nov. 22.
