Josh Hill has suffered an injury 10 days before his bantamweight title fight against Marlon Moraes at WSOF 13. Cody Bollinger has stepped in on short notice, but he will not get a shot at the belt.
World Series of Fighting officials announced the change via Twitter on Wednesday. The new main event will be five rounds and contested at an agreed upon catch-weight of 140 pounds.
WSOF 13 is set to take place in Pennsylvania and will serve as the promotion’s second broadcast on NBC.
The 26-year-old Moraes has met every challenge thrown his way in the Ray Sefo-led promotion, besting the likes of Miguel Torres, Tyson Nam, Brandon Hempleman, Carson Beebe and most recently, Josh Rettinghouse at WSOF 9.
Bollinger comes into the bout riding a three-fight winning streak. The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., native last suffered defeat at Bellator 76, losing to Shahbulat Shamhalaev via technical knockout. “The Cali Cowboy” has only lost twice in his 19-fight professional career.
