Horn Takes Fight Against Marquardt
Veteran middleweight Jeremy
Horn (Pictures) will return to the Octagon on
Feb. 2 when he fights Nathan Marquardt (Pictures) in Las Vegas, the UFC announced
Wednesday.
Marquardt was slated to face Thales Leites (Pictures) until Monday, when the Brazilian revealed a broken hand would force him out of the fight.
After losing to Chuck Liddell (Pictures) at light heavyweight, Horn (79-16-5) dropped in weight to 185 pounds and put together a 3-2 record.
Wins over Trevor Prangley (Pictures) and Chael Sonnen (Pictures) in the UFC and a decision over Falaniko Vitale (Pictures) were soiled by a stoppage loss to Matt Lindland (Pictures) and, most recently, a submission setback versus Jorge Santiago (Pictures) last September.
