ICON: Lawler Hurts Hand Again; Williams Makes MMA Debut
Thursday, November 23, 2006
"Ruthless" Robbie Lawler (Pictures) has once again been forced to withdraw from an ICON card, the promoter announced Wednesday, after the 24-year-old Iowan re-injured the hand he fractured last year. No replacement has been announced for the December 2 card in Honolulu.

Also, ICON announced Golden Gloves Hall of Fame boxer Jeremy Williams will make his mixed martial arts debut. Williams was scheduled to make his entry into MMA Dec. 9 on a World Fighting Alliance card, but with the cancellation of that event it freed him to fight in Hawaii.

Williams, who fights out of Hollywood, Calif.'s Legends Mixed Martial Arts Center, faces another Souther California-based fighter in the 2-0-0 Jamiah Williamson.

Sidney Silva (Pictures) vs. Jay Jack (Pictures)
Tyson Nam vs. Mark Oshiro
