It was announced on Wednesday that MyNetworkTV will continue airing "IFL Battleground" in its Monday night prime-time slot as the terrestrial network moves into fall programming.

"We are looking forward to expanding the audience and continuing to improve our content as we move into our first playoff series and then on to our World Grand Prix," said Kurt Otto, co-owner and commissioner of the IFL.

Details for the autumn shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Reruns will air on Saturday nights.

In unrelated IFL news, the New York-based organization has produced its first retail DVD in association with Warner Home Video. "IFL: Greatest Knockouts & Extreme Action" will feature action from the inaugural 2006 season, which saw the Quad City Silverbacks run the table en route the fighting league's first team championship series. The DVD is slated for a September 18 release.
