Ian Loveland (Pictures) vs. Jason Palacios (Pictures)
Round 1
Loveland comes out and slams Palacios to start the action. The fighters stand back up and Loveland goes for the guillotine but Palacios defends and pulls his head out. Palacios working from the top, throwing punches and elbows. Palacios takes Loveland's back and works for the rear naked choke. It looks deep and Loveland is forced to tap at 1:48 of the first period.
Tristan Wit (Pictures) vs. Conor Heun (Pictures)
Round 1
Wit and Huen come out slinging punches right from the opening bell. Wit lands the best punch, a solid left. Huen takes Wit to the mat and with blood flowing from his nose works for a modified arm triangle. Wit defends the submission only to find himself on the recieving end of punches. Huen working for the mount. He gets it and begins for strike, Wit gives up his back and Huen goes for the choke. Huen gets to high and slips off of Wit's back but grabs his arm and sinks the armbar that elicits the tapout at 3:59 of the first round.
Tokyo Sabres vs. Portland Wolfpack
Orvil Palmer vs. Devin Cole (Pictures)
Round 1
Cole, attacking early lands a couple wild punches and shoots for the takedown. Palmer grabs the ropes as he is lifted into the air. The referee warns him about grabbing the ropes. Cole shoots again and drives Palmer through the ropes. As the fight is restarted, Cole gets the takedown but is put into a guillotine. Cole rides out the rest of the round and gets the 10-9 nod on the Sherdog scorecard.
Round 2
Cole attacks early again in the second. After landing a pair of punches, Cold again takes the fight to the mat where he secures mount position. A series of punches forces Palmer to react and he eventually makes it back to his feet. The fight goes back to the ground again as Cole ducks under Palmer punches and puts him to the mat. The round ends with Cole on top punching. Cole gets round two as well by a 10-9 score.
Round 3
Cole rushes across the ring and shoots for a double leg. Palmer side-steps him and as Cole goes through the ropes Palmer continues to strike until the referee pulls him away. Cole is allowed to recover and after a couple seconds he motions he is ready to go. Palmer lands a good punch and gets his first takedown of the match. Cole reverses Palmer but Plamer has a Kimura locked in. Cole defends as the fighters scramble. Cole gets side-control before moving to mount. The fight is restarted in the middle of the ring after the fighters get entangled in the ropes. The final minute-and-a-half is spent with a tired Cole trying to finish a weary Palmer from the mount. He was unsuccessful in stopping the Sabre heavyweight and it cost him as the judges scores were tallied 29-28, 29-28 and 28-29 in favor of Orville Palmer. Sherdog.com gave the final round to Palmer but it was very close. The first two round were not that close from where Sherdog was scoring the fight and the crowd seemed to agree. Boos cascaded from the rafters after the scores were read.
Kazuhiro Hamanaka (Pictures) vs. Matt Horwich (Pictures)
Round 1
Horwich and Hamanaka clinch in the corner. Hamanaka takes him down from the clinch but Horwich stands right back up. Hamanaka lands a good left as the fight moves to the center of the ring. Horwich answers with a left kick to the chin. Hamanaka gets the body-lock takedown but Horwich stands right back up again. Horwich lands a huge left shin to the side of Hamanaka's head. The Sabre stumbles and then crumbles to the mat as Suave follows the kick up with punches. The hardest shot Horwich took in the fight was from the ref who must have thought he was fighting because he barrelled Horwich right over as he stood over an unconcious Hamanaka. The end came at 2:07 of the first round. Horwich dedicates the fight to Jeremy Williams.
Vladimir Matyushenko (Pictures) vs. Aaron Stark (Pictures)
Round 1
Stark shoots a single but Matyushsenko is having none of it. Stark shoots again but "The Janitor" side-steps him. Matyushenko gets a sloppy takedown and gets busy. Stark gets back to his feet but is put right back to the mat. Matyushenko slugs away and Stark goes totally defensive. Matyushenko locks up one arm with his legs and the other with his left hand and opens up with unabated strikes. Stark eats a few and as Matyushenko regroups to throw some more the referee steps in and calls the fight. Stark and his coach Matt Lindland protest to no avail. The official time of the referee stoppage comes at 2:49 of the first round.
Antonio McKee (Pictures) vs. Mike Dolce (Pictures)
Round 1
McKee shoots and gets a takedown to start the fight. A lack of action forces the ref to stand the fighters back up. McKee ducks in under a wild lunging Dolce right and takes the fight back to the ground. Working from half-guard, McKee cross-faces Dolce but does little else. McKee passes to side-control. He has an arm-triangle locked in. Dolce fights his way free but eats a few punches for his trouble. McKee pounds away to the body with knees. McKee mounts Dolce and when he turns his back he goes for the rear naked choke. The bell saves Dolce. McKee is fighting with an agressiveness that has eluded him during most of his career.
Round 2
McKee pistoning the jab while Dolce seems to be looking for one big shot. Not much actoin to start the second frame. McKee shoots and gets the takedown. Quick ref standup due to lack of action. Dolce sprawls on McKee. Mckee changes levels once again as Dolce charges towards him. He gets the takedown again and moves to side. Knees to the body once again from McKee. Another referee standup. Referee's timeout to remove some loose tape from Dolce's glove. 30 seconds left in the second round. Dolce looking for a single big shot but can't find an opening. McKee lands a kick to the body as time expires. Sherdog.com scores the second round the same as the first, 10-9 for the Sabres Antonio McKee.
Round 3
Boos starting to come from the crowd as Dolce can't seem to pull the trigger. Wary of the takedown he has been relegated to throwing one punch at a time while McKee seems content to circle away from him. The ref calls for action and McKee shoots for and scores the takedown. The referee quickly stands the combatants back up and Dolce is forced to sprawl as McKee shoots right back in. He briefly holds him off but eventually succombs to the takedown. McKee moves to side once again but he can't do any damage and the fight is brough back to the feet. You guessed it, McKee gets another takedown as the bell sounds ending the welterweight affair. The crowd was not appreciative and a resounding chorus of boos was the fighter's reward. McKee gets the third on the Sherdog card as well 10-9 giving him an unofficial 30-27 advantage. The official tallys read 30-27 three times giving the Sabres an insurmountable 3-1 lead thus sending them to the playoffs and eliminating the Wolfpack from the post-season.
Savant Young (Pictures) vs. Ryan Schultz (Pictures)
Round 1
Young is a full head shorter than Schultz as they circle to begin the fight.. Schultz rushes in but missed with all his punches. Young clinches to tie him up. Schultz gets the takedown from the clinch, landing in half-guard. Referee standup gets the fighters back to their feet. One minutes to go in round one. A lot of respect for each other's punching power seems to be keeping the fighters from commiting to their punches. The crowd is growing restless. A huge flurry is inturupted by the bell but Young lands a couple of extra shots and Schultz is not pleased as he looks to the referee after they are seperated Round one is close but has to go to Schultz because of his takedown.
Round 2
Schultz shoots in but Young clamps on a guillotine (arm in) and jumps to guard. Schultz works his way free and the fight is moved to the center of the ring. Schultz drops a few punches down on Young. A lack of action brings another referee standup. Schultz lands a nice combination (straight right, left hook) that gets Young's attention. The fighters clinch along the ropes before the ref breaks them up. Schultz gets another takedown from the clinch as the round closed. Round two goes into Schultz and the Wolfpack's column 10-9 as well.
Round 3
Young throws a nice low kick. They clinch once again along the ropes. Schultz lands a glancing blow that backs Young off. Schultz flurries again and finishes it with a borderline low blow. He then notches a takedown from the clinch. Schultz has a key lock from side-control. Young is calm and defends well. Under a minute left. Schultz has the key lock again. He lets it go and strikes from the top. Schultz goes for Young's back as the round ends. Ryan Schultz locks up all three rounds on the Sherdog.com scorecard all by 10-9 scores. The official scores are announced: 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 for the Wolfpack's Ryan Schultz.
L.A. Anacondas vs. Seattle Tiger Sharks
Benji Radach (Pictures) vs. Bristol Marunde (Pictures)
Round 1
Radach firing away at will in the early going, Marunde backing away. Radach eats a punch that momentarily stuns him. He shoots and is sprawled on. The fighters get back to their feet and Radach shows no ill-effects from the shot. He reaches back and lands a huge straight right hand that collapses Maurnde to the mat where Radach was able to mop things up with follow up punches until the referee stepped in. The official time of the TKO win is 1:28 of round one.
Chris Horodecki (Pictures) vs. Shad Lierley (Pictures)
Round 1
Lierley gets in the first shot of the fight and is moving forward against Horodecki They are trading blows in the middle of the ring with Lirely getting the better of it. A big flurry by Lierley sends his foe back-peddling across the ring. The fighters clinch but are right back at it. Horodecki finding his range. He lands a number of good shots of his own. Lierley sporting a couple of mouses under his eyes. Good right hand lead by Horodecki. Horodecki doing what he does best, throwing combinations but Lierley won't budge. Another huge exchange brings the crowd to its feet. Horodecki pulls guard and tries for the guillotine but Lierley easily escapes. The round comes to a close with a thunderous roar from the crowd. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 for Horodecki because he did more damage with his shots.
Round 2
The second round opens with Horodecki melting Lierley with a right hand. The Anaconda lightweight tried to pounce and finish but a quick-recovering Lierley locked him up and put him on his back. Lierley couldn't advance and the referee stands them back up. Lierley showing tons of heart as he presses forward. Horodecki sprawls on a takedown attempt but ends up giving up his back. The partisan Washington crowd roars its approval. Horodecki fights his way free. Horodecki fires another one, two that snaps Lierley's head back. Lierley shoots again but is sprawled on. They are back throwing bombs in the middle of the ring and the crowd is on its feet going wild. Sherdog.com scores the round 10-9 again for Horodecki.
Round 3
Horodecki opens with another patented combo. Lierley is gaining fans by the second as he continues to push the young lightweight star. Solid left jab by Lierley snaps Horodecki's head back. Lierley shoots again and off the scramble he ends up in Horodecki's guard. Another in a long line of quick stand ups brings the fight back to the feet. A pair of stinging right hands by Horodecki stop the forward movement of Lierley for a moment. Another one, two from Horodecki finds the mark. Lierley ends up on top again off a scramble but Horodecki pushes him away and stands up. Horodecki finishes strong, pounding away from the top as the final bell rings ending the fight and sending the crowd back into a frenzy. Sherdog.com scores the third round for Horodecki giving him an unofficial total of 30-27. The Washington crowd boos Horodecki and cheers hometown favorite Lierley as they wait for the decision. The official scores read 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 for Horodecki. The crowd doesn't agree but the scores are right on.
The official attendance is announced as being 6,977.
Jay Hieron (Pictures) vs. Brad Blackburn (Pictures)
Round 1
Blackburn stuns everyone and catches Hieron with a punch that buckles him. Blackburn follows with a series of right hands to the dazed Hieron's head forcing the referee to step in at 14 seconds of the first round.
Alex Schoenauer (Pictures) vs. Allan Goes (Pictures)
Round 1
Goes stalking Schoenauer throwing lowkicks along the way. Schoenauer opens up with a flurry of action as Goes calmly covers up. Goes comes back with more leg kicks. Schoenauer answers with punches. Schoenauer moving well. Goes implores him to stand and trade. Schoenauer obliges him and lands a combination. Goes eats another series of strikes and looks to be wilting under the constant assault from Schoenauer. Schoenauer finishes the fight with a straight right hand that left Goes limp on the mat. He followed with punches until the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 3:00 of the first round. The knockout win secures the Anacondas victory and place in the IFL post-season.
Krzysztof Soszynski (Pictures) vs. Reese Andy (Pictures)
Round 1
Soszynski and Andy feeling each other out. Andy draws first blood with a beautiful hip toss takedown. Andy, in Soszynski's guard, looking to strike. Soszynski angles for an armbar. Andy shrugs it off and moves to North-South position where he locks up a D'Arce choke. It looks deep but Soszynski fights his way out. Andy back in guard firing punches. Andy stands up and launches himself back into the guard fists first. Up-kick by Soszynski clears the way for him to get back to his feet. He reverses Andy and pounds away from the top until the bell sounds. First round goes to Reese Andy (10-9) but Soszynski made it close at the end.
Round 2
Round two begins with 208 pound Andy picking up his much bigger opponent and slamming him to the mat. Andy could not get an advantage or cause any damage on the ground and the fight was stood back up. The fighters clinch in the center of the ring. Andy dives in and tackles Soszynski to the canvas. Soszynski attempts an oma plata but Andy is savy enough to avoid it. Andy kneeing to the body from side-control. Soszynski gets half-guard back. Soszynski looking for a Kimura but Andy has him blocked with his hip. Soszynski clears the hip but Andy rolls right out of the hold as the bell sounds. Round two goes to Andy once again 10-9 on the Sherdog card.
Round 3
Soszynski plods into range and Andy gives him a left then a right for it. Andy breathing heavily while Soszynski looks fresh. Soszynski shrugs off a takedown attempt. Soszynski sprawls once again using his weight advantage to wear him down. Soszynski takes Andy's back and flattens him out. He is looking for the rear naked but pulls up and pounds away, trying to soften him up. Andy gets back to his knees but he is rolled over to his back. Soszynski has his hooks in and is trying to sink the fight-ending choke. Andy reverses position and is in Soszynski's guard with 20 seconds to go. Andy finishing strong until Soszynski pushes him off right at the final bell. Sherdog scores round three 10-9 for Soszynski unofficially giving the fight to Andy by a score of 29-28. The official scores are announced as 29-28, 29-28 and 27-30 giving the split decision to Reese Andy.

Blackburn stuns everyone and catches Hieron with a punch that buckles him. Blackburn follows with a series of right hands to the dazed Hieron's head forcing the referee to step in at 14 seconds of the first round.
Alex Schoenauer (Pictures) vs. Allan Goes (Pictures)
Round 1
Goes stalking Schoenauer throwing lowkicks along the way. Schoenauer opens up with a flurry of action as Goes calmly covers up. Goes comes back with more leg kicks. Schoenauer answers with punches. Schoenauer moving well. Goes implores him to stand and trade. Schoenauer obliges him and lands a combination. Goes eats another series of strikes and looks to be wilting under the constant assault from Schoenauer. Schoenauer finishes the fight with a straight right hand that left Goes limp on the mat. He followed with punches until the referee stepped in to stop the fight at 3:00 of the first round. The knockout win secures the Anacondas victory and place in the IFL post-season.
Krzysztof Soszynski (Pictures) vs. Reese Andy (Pictures)
Round 1
Soszynski and Andy feeling each other out. Andy draws first blood with a beautiful hip toss takedown. Andy, in Soszynski's guard, looking to strike. Soszynski angles for an armbar. Andy shrugs it off and moves to North-South position where he locks up a D'Arce choke. It looks deep but Soszynski fights his way out. Andy back in guard firing punches. Andy stands up and launches himself back into the guard fists first. Up-kick by Soszynski clears the way for him to get back to his feet. He reverses Andy and pounds away from the top until the bell sounds. First round goes to Reese Andy (10-9) but Soszynski made it close at the end.
Round 2
Round two begins with 208 pound Andy picking up his much bigger opponent and slamming him to the mat. Andy could not get an advantage or cause any damage on the ground and the fight was stood back up. The fighters clinch in the center of the ring. Andy dives in and tackles Soszynski to the canvas. Soszynski attempts an oma plata but Andy is savy enough to avoid it. Andy kneeing to the body from side-control. Soszynski gets half-guard back. Soszynski looking for a Kimura but Andy has him blocked with his hip. Soszynski clears the hip but Andy rolls right out of the hold as the bell sounds. Round two goes to Andy once again 10-9 on the Sherdog card.
Round 3
Soszynski plods into range and Andy gives him a left then a right for it. Andy breathing heavily while Soszynski looks fresh. Soszynski shrugs off a takedown attempt. Soszynski sprawls once again using his weight advantage to wear him down. Soszynski takes Andy's back and flattens him out. He is looking for the rear naked but pulls up and pounds away, trying to soften him up. Andy gets back to his knees but he is rolled over to his back. Soszynski has his hooks in and is trying to sink the fight-ending choke. Andy reverses position and is in Soszynski's guard with 20 seconds to go. Andy finishing strong until Soszynski pushes him off right at the final bell. Sherdog scores round three 10-9 for Soszynski unofficially giving the fight to Andy by a score of 29-28. The official scores are announced as 29-28, 29-28 and 27-30 giving the split decision to Reese Andy.
