Fresh off a victory against Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 250, Ian Heinisch will return to the Octagon three weeks later to face Brendan Allen on June 27.

Combate was first to report the middleweight pairing. The card is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a lightweight scrap between Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker.

Heinisch halted a two-bout skid with a 74-second TKO stoppage of Meerschaert in a preliminary contest at UFC 250 on May 9. Prior to that, the Dana White’s Contender Series alum had dropped decisions to Omari Akhmedov and Derek Brunson.

Also a former Contender Series competitor, Allen enters the matchup on a six-fight winning streak — including two triumphs under the UFC banner. After submitting Kevin Holland in his Octagon debut at UFC on ESPN 6, the 24-year-old Allen stopped Tom Breese via technical knockout in the opening stanza at UFC Fight Night 169.
