Invicta FC 8 Weigh-in Results: Waterson, Tamada Cleared for 105-Pound Title Tilt
The Invicta FC 8 main event will go forward as planned, as both Michelle Waterson and Yasuko Tamada made weight on Friday.

Waterson, who trains at Jackson-Wink MMA in Albuquerque, N.M., captured 105-pound gold in April 2013 with an enthralling fourth-round submission against Jessica Penne. “The Karate Hottie” enters the contest on a five-fight winning streak and is 11-3 overall as a professional, with seven submission triumphs to her credit.
A longtime veteran of the Japanese circuit, Tamada owns a 15-8-3 mark during her pro tenure, including 13 victories via decision. “Ikuko” has won three straight fights, most recently outpointing Yukiko Seki on Aug. 31, 2013.
