Hamasaki has won three in a row, with her recent triumph coming at Invicta 13 last July against Herica Tiburcio. The Japanese star burst onto the circuit in 2009 and won her first nine bouts before finally losing. She’s back on track and is eager to face Maia, who has won three straight as well and five of six overall.

Other matchups set for the card will be Alexa Grasso taking on Stephanie Eggink in a strawweight battle; Irene Aldana locking horns with Jessamyn Duke at bantamweight; TUF veteran Roxanne Modafferi fighting DeAnna Bennett in a flyweight tussle; and Tiburcio taking on Jinh Yu Frey at atomweight.

Also on the preliminary card will be Sarah D’Alelio going at it againstr Andrea Lee in a flyweight encounter; Kelly McGill versus AmberLynn Orr at bantamweights; and a strawweight battle between Ashley Greenway and Sarah Click.

Invicta FC 16 will stream live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
