It Seems UFC is Still Interested in Artem Lobov Despite Record, ‘McGregor Massacre’ Involvement

It seems the Ultimate Fighting Championship still want to be in business with featherweight Artem Lobov despite his 13-14 record, which includes two losses in his past two fights as well as his involvement in the bus attack alongside Irish teammate Conor McGregor back in April.

Since the attack in the basement of the Barclays Center, Lobov was removed from the UFC 223 card and has kept a low profile. Although according to Ariel Helwani on his new show “Ariel & The Bad Guy,” the UFC is ready to offer Lobov another fight:

“According to the people I’ve talked to, the UFC still wants to be in business with Artem, even after his little attack on the bus in Brooklyn back in April,” Helwani said. “They actually offered him a fight on July 22 against Nad Narimani, and believe it or not, from what I’m told, Artem Lobov declined the fight. He wants a little more time…wants more time to train, to prepare for the fight.”

At this stage it is not clear if this fight against Narimani will be rebooked, although with Lobov’s record inside the Octagon (2 wins and 4 losses), the 31 year-old is giving himself the best chance to win the fight by ensuring he is well prepared.
