Rodrigo Damm will return to lightweight for his next outing, when the Brazilian meets countryman Ivan Jorge at UFC Fight Night 36.
The Feb. 15 event takes place at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, and is headlined by a middleweight confrontation pitting former UFC light heavyweight king Lyoto Machida against onetime Strikeforce ruler Gegard Mousasi.
Damm, 33, dropped to featherweight for his 2012 run on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” and posted a 2-1 record in the Octagon before being forced to withdraw from a planned confrontation with Hacran Dias this past October due to a reported kidney stone attack suffered during his weight cut.
Jorge, meanwhile, made his UFC debut as an injury replacement for Marcelo Guimaraes this past September. The former Jungle Fight lightweight king extended his current winning streak to seven fights with his most recent victory, outpointing veteran Keith Wisniewski at UFC Fight Night 28.
