A pair of up-and-coming bantamweights will collide in Toronto, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced on Friday, as Yves Jabouin and Walel Watson have verbally agreed to square off at UFC 140.

Going down Dec. 10 from the Air Canada Center, the event will be headlined by a light heavyweight title confrontation between Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida. Jones was originally expected to face consensus No. 1 contender Rashad Evans at the event, but a hand injury sustained by Evans in his last fight prevented him from making the Dec. 10 fight date. As a result, Machida was called upon and accepted the shot at Jones’ belt.

Airing live on pay-per-view, the event’s main draw will also showcase Brazilian brothers Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who will face off with former champions Frank Mir and Tito Ortiz, respectively.

Jabouin, 32, has won two of his last three outings following back-to-back losses. A native of Haiti now residing in Montreal, Jabouin tasted defeat in his UFC debut following a three-fight stint with the WEC. “Tiger” rebounded from his April submission loss to Pablo Garza, however, earning a split decision win over Ian Loveland at UFC 134 in August.

Watson made his first and only UFC appearance to date in his most recent outing, knocking out the much smaller Joseph Sandoval at UFC Live 6 on Oct. 1. The Texas native has won nine of his last 10 fights, his most recent loss coming at Tachi Palace Fights 9 in May. Representing Team Hurricane Awesome in San Diego, Watson owns seven of his nine career wins by submission.
