Cage Warriors Fighting Championship returned to Manchester, England, for their Cage Warriors 112 event.
The co-main event featured a welterweight bout that pitted Adam Proctor against Madars Bertholds-Fleminas. It didn’t take long for Proctor to set the pace of the match as he landed a takedown early in Round 1. “The Love Doctor” forced his opponent to the canvas during all three rounds. Even though he worked from the top position for most of the time, he was unable to finish the “Latvian Express” inside the distance. Eventually, all three judges rewarded the English fighter with a unanimous decision victory. Proctor (12-1) is now riding a seven-bout winning victory streak.
Elsewhere, George Smith (5-1) submitted Lucas Marcinkowski (4-2) via armbar at the 4:47 mark of the first stanza in their middleweight encounter. In another middleweight clash, former champion James Webb (7-2-1) put on a dominant performance as he overcame Mick Stanton (6-4) via unanimous decision. In the opening match of the main card, Adam Wilson (5-0) submitted Scott Malone (6-4) thanks to a slick rear-naked choke that came out of nowhere at the beginning of the second stanza.
