Jack Marshman will put his Cage Warriors Fighting Championship middleweight title on the line when he meets Andreas Michailidis in the Cage Warriors 79 main event on Oct. 15 at the Newport Centre in Newport, Wales. Ultimate Fighting Championship veterans Martin Svensson and Che Mills will also appear on the card in separate bouts.

Marshman has rattled off six consecutive victories. The 26-year-old Welshman last competed at Cage Warriors 77 in July, when he stopped Christopher Jacquelin with punches 4:58 into the first round and retained his 185-pound championship in London. Marshman has secured 17 of his 20 professional wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission.

A Bellator MMA and King of the Cage alum, Michailidis has recorded back-to-back wins since his TKO defeat to Jason Butcher at Bellator 128 a little more than two years ago. The 28-year-old Greek middleweight last appeared under the Abu Dhabi Warriors Fighting Championship banner on May 24, when he took a three-round unanimous decision from Ion Pascu in the United Arab Emirates. It marked the first time in Michailidis’ nine-fight career that he had gone the distance.
