Janaisa Morandin and Virna Jandiroba will lock horns for the vacant Invicta FC strawweight title in March.
Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp announced the pairing in a video posted on the UFC Fight Pass Twitter account. Morandin and Jandiroba will square off on March 24 at an as-yet-to-be announced location and venue.
After suffering the first loss of her professional career against Livia Renata Souza at Invicta FC 25, Morandin bounced back to outpoint Kinberly Tanaka Novaes at Invicta FC 26 on Dec. 8. The 23-year-old known as “Evil Princess” owns a 10-1 career mark that includes five victories by knockout or technical knockout.
Jandiroba improved to 12-0 with a first-round submission of Amy Montenegro in her first promotional foray at Invicta FC 26. The 29-year-old Brazilian has finished 10 of her triumphs by way of submission.
