Jared Rosholt will face Josh Copeland in a heavyweight bout at UFC 185 “Pettis vs. Dos Anjos.”
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the pairing on Thursday. Headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Anthony Pettis and top contender Rafael dos Anjos, the pay-per-view takes place March 14 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Rosholt, 28, saw a seven-fight winning streak end against Alexey Oleinik at UFC Fight Night “Edgar vs. Swanson.” Rosholt was unable to impose his grappling-heavy game plan and was finished via technical knockout in round one. The loss was “The Big Show’s” first under the UFC banner.
Copeland dropped a unanimous decision in his UFC debut against Ruslan Magomedov. A Resurrection Fighting Alliance veteran, “Cuddly Bear” had yet to taste defeat in nine professional outings before meeting his Russian counterpart.
