Jens Pulver will return to mixed martial arts for the first time in over a year in a bantamweight bout against Fransino Tirta at One FC 26 “Odyssey of Champions” on Feb. 14.
One Fighting Championship announced the bout and event early on Friday morning. No other fights have yet to be added to the card, which will take place at Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Pulver, a former Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight Champion, has been out of action since suffering two consecutive losses in 2013. The 40-year-old will be making his fourth appearance for One FC, his first since being submitted by Masakatsu Ueda at One FC 8 “Kings and Champions.” Pulver is only 6-13 in his last 19-fights, spanning back to Little Evil’s second stint with the UFC in 2006.
Tirta has yet to be defeated as a professional. The 33-year-old Synergy fight team product has fought once under the One FC banner, defeating Sami Amin via first-round submission at One FC 17 “Era of Champions.” Of Tirta’s 16 wins, 13 have come before reaching the judges’ scorecards. Also in the mix is the fact that Tirta will be fighting in front of his hometown of Jakarta.
