Featherweights Jeremy Stephens and Charles Oliveira will meet in the co-main event of “The Ultimate Fighter 20” Finale in December.
The matchup was announced Tuesday in an edition of “UFC Minute” on UFC.com. “TUF 20,” which will crown the organization’s first women’s strawweight champion, comes to a close Dec. 12 at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
World-ranked Stephens will look to bounce back following his first defeat at 145 pounds, a five-round unanimous decision loss to Cub Swanson on June 28. The 28-year-old “Lil Heathen” had reeled off consecutive wins against Darren Elkins, Rony Mariano Bezerra and Estevan Payan following his drop from lightweight.
Oliveira, 24, has rebounded from losses to Swanson and Frankie Edgar by notching back-to-back victories in 2014. The Brazilian youngster scored the most significant win of his career in June, when he forced former Shooto champion Hatsu Hioki to submit to a second-round anaconda choke.
