Jessica Aguilar will lock horns with Cortney Casey in a strawweight clash at UFC 211, the promotion announced Tuesday.
UFC 211 takes place at American Airlines Arena in Dallas on May 13 and is headlined by a heavyweight championship showdown between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos. In the co-main event, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends her 115-pound strap against Jessica Andrade.
A former World Series of Fighting titlist, Aguilar had a 10-fight winning streak snapped by Claudia Gadelha in her Octagon debut at UFC 190. Aguilar has not competed since that August 2015 loss. “Jag” owns triumphs over the likes of Megumi Fujii (twice), Carla Esparza, Lisa Ellis, Emi Fujino and Angela Magana.
Casey is also coming off a loss to Gadelha, a unanimous decision defeat at UFC Fight Night 100 on Nov. 19. Prior to that, the Phoenix native had scored consecutive triumphs over Randa Markos and Cristina Stanciu in the Octagon.
