Jessica Andrade vs. Tecia Torres Slated for UFC on Fox 28 in Orlando

A pivotal strawweight bout is on tap for UFC on Fox 28, as Jessica Andrade will meet Tecia Torres in Orlando on Feb. 24.

The promotion confirmed the pairing through the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday. UFC on Fox 28 takes place at the Amway Center, and the main card will air on the Fox Network. A headliner has not been announced for the card.

Andrade has been victorious in four of her last five Octagon appearances, with her only defeat during that time coming in a title bout against Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 211. Most recently, “Bate Estaca” earned a dominant unanimous verdict over Claudia Gadelha at UFC Fight Night 117 in October.

Torres, meanwhile, has lost just once in seven UFC outings — a decision defeat to current 115-pound champ Rose Namajunas in April 2016. “The Tiny Tornado” has since reeled off three straight victories, including a decision win over Michelle Waterson at UFC 218.
