“I think it’s going to be a great fight and a stand-up battle for sure,” Jones-Lybarger told UFC.com. “I’m excited to make my UFC debut against somebody like her. I have a lot of respect for her in and out of the cage.”
Based out of the MMA Lab in Arizona, Lybarger enters her UFC debut with a 6-1 career mark and has fought for organizations such as King of the Cage, Invicta FC and Resurrection Fighting Alliance during her professional tenure. Most recently, “Lights Out” took a five-round verdict over Zoila Frausto at RFA 31 to capture the organization’s vacant 115-pound title.
Meanwhile, American Top Team’s Torres is 2-0 since her appearance on “The Ultimate Fighter 20,” with UFC triumphs over Angela Hill and Angela Magana. “The Tiny Tornado” is 6-0 as a professional overall, including notable wins against Rose Namajunas, Felice Herrig and Paige VanZant.
