Joe Rogan Calls Justin Gaethje 'The Most Violent Man In The Most Violent Sport'

Justin Gaethje continues to earn plaudits for his exploits inside the Octagon and his latest knockout victory against Edson Barboza over the weekend at UFC on ESPN 2 is possibly the most impressive of them all given the caliber of his opponent.

Gaethje put the Brazilian’s lights out inside the first round, for which Ultimate Fighting Championship color commentator Joe Rogan labelled Gaethje “the most violent man in the most violent sport.” After the main event had concluded on Saturday night, Rogan took to his Instagram account to congratulate the 30-year-old.

“To be considered the most violent man in the most violent sport in the world is a [expletive] crazy position, but in my mind [Gaethje] is that man. Congrats on an incredible KO victory last night over one of the most dangerous strikers in the sport!”

Gaethje has fast become a fan favorite in the UFC with his berserker-style approach to fighting. After being stopped by Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier, Gaethje has bounced back with two finishes of his own against James Vick and now Barboza and is looking at a potential top-five ranked opponent next.

After his latest win, “The “Highlight” became the first fighter in UFC history to land a bonus in each of his first five fights.
