An intriguing bantamweight matchup looks to be on tap for UFC Fight Night 120.
John Dodson recently revealed on Twitter that he will face Marlon Moraes at the Nov. 11 event in Norfolk, Va. MMA journalist Farah Hannoun initially reported the matchup. The Las Vegas-based promotion has not formally announced the booking. UFC Fight Night 120 takes place at the Ted Constant Convocation Center and is headlined by a lightweight duel between Anthony Pettis and Dustin Poirier.
A former flyweight title challenger, Dodson has won two of three Octagon appearances since moving to 135 pounds. The Jackson-Wink MMA staple rebounded from a narrow defeat to John Lineker by taking a unanimous decision against Eddie Wineland in his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night 108.
Moraes made his highly-anticipated promotional debut at UFC 212, where he dropped a lackluster split verdict to Raphael Assuncao. That snapped a 13-fight winning streak for the 29-year-old Brazilian, who was dominant during his reign as World Series of Fighting bantamweight champion.
