Jones' message could be a result of the renewed confidence that his Octagon return could be imminent. The Nevada Athletic Commission revealed that Jones tested positive for the estrogen blocking substances hydroxyclomiphene and letrozole metabolite prior to his 205-pound title rematch against Cormier. However, Jones’ attorney, Howard Jacobs, recently said on Sirius XM’s "The Luke Thomas Show” that independent testing by USADA has confirmed that a tainted supplement caused the positive result.
Jones is scheduled for an arbitration hearing with USADA on Oct. 31. He will also face discipline from the NAC at a separate hearing. Jacobs expects that the recent findings could lead to a reduced suspension.
Jones last competed at UFC 197 in April, where he captured the interim crown with a five-round verdict against Ovince St. Preux.
