Joseph Benavidez has been forced to withdraw from a scheduled UFC Fight Night 110 clash against Ben Nguyen due to injury, the UFC flyweight wrote on Instagram.

“Sad to share that I suffered an injury, will not be fighting on June 10,” he wrote. “I’ll focus on what I can do and be back. Thank you for the support.”

UFC Fight Night 110 takes place at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, and is headlined by a heavyweight duel pitting Mark Hunt against Derrick Lewis. It is unclear if Nguyen will remain on the card against a replacement opponent.

One of the top 125-pound talents in the sport, Benavidez’s only two losses in 14 Octagon appearances have come at the hands of reigning flyweight king Demetrious Johnson. Benavidez is current;u on a six-fight winning streak that includes a split-decision triumph against Henry Cejudo in his most recent outing at “The Ultimate Fighter 24” finale on Dec. 3.

Nguyen has won three of his first four Octagon appearances. Most recently, the Integrated MMA representative took a unanimous decision over Geane Herrera at UFC Fight Night 101 on Nov. 26.
