Just one week after suffering a loss in his return to the Octagon, Josh Koscheck has lined up another fight.

According to a report from Brazilian outlet Combate, Koscheck will face Erick Silva in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night “Maia vs. LaFlare” in Rio de Janeiro on March 21. Silva’s original opponent, Ben Saunders, was forced to pull out of the matchup last week due to injury, though the UFC has not yet announced his withdrawal.

Headined by a 170-pound tilt between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare, the latest iteration of “UFC Rio” takes place at Maracanazinho Gymnasium and airs live on Fox Sports 1.

Koscheck, 37, will attempt to snap a four-fight losing skid which stretches back to May 2012. The former NCAA Division I All-American wrestler returned from a 15-month layoff to face Jake Ellenberger at UFC 184 and was submitted via second-round north-south choke in a lackluster performance.

Silva will be looking for his first back-to-back wins inside the Octagon, having alternated wins and losses in his nine UFC appearances to date. The 30-year-old X-Gym product was last in action on Dec. 20, when he choked Mike Rhodes unconscious with an arm-triangle choke in just 75 seconds.
