“The Ultimate Fighter 17” knockout artist Uriah Hall will attempt to capture his first official Octagon victory against former castmate Josh Samman on Aug. 17, promotion officials announced Monday.
Hall ran roughshod over the competition during taping of “TUF 17,” stopping three of four opponents during his time on the reality show. However, the Ring of Combat veteran was not nearly as dominant at the series finale, as he dropped a split verdict to Kelvin Gastelum. The Team Tiger Schulmann export was 6-2 while competing for ROC, suffering notable losses to Chris Weidman and Costas Philippou.
Samman (Pictured) bowed out to Gastelum on the show’s semifinals, but rebounded to stop Kevin Casey in the second round at the “TUF 17” finale. The 25-year-old Floridian has finished nine of his 10 victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
