A heavyweight rematch between Junior dos Santos and Stefan Struve will serve as the UFC Fight Night 105 headliner, promotion officials announced Wednesday.
UFC Fight Night 105 takes place at the Scotiabank Centre, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, on Feb. 19. Dos Santos and Struve first squared off at UFC 95 on Feb. 21, 2009, with “Cigano” winning via technical knockout 54 seconds into the opening stanza.
A former UFC heavyweight champion, Dos Santos has alternated wins and losses in his last six outings. Most recently, the Brazilian outpointed Ben Rothwell in the UFC Fight Night 86 headliner on April 10. The 32-year-old owns wins over the likes of Cain Velasquez, Stipe Miocic, Mark Hunt, Frank Mir and Shane Carwin during his promotional tenure.
Struve, meanwhile, has won three of his last four Octagon appearances. “Skyscraper” went 2-0 in 2016, posting finishes against Daniel Omielanczuk and Antonio Silva. The Netherlands native is 12-6 since debuting in the UFC against dos Santos in 2009.
