World Series of Fighting lightweight champion Justin Gaethje kept on rolling in the main event of WSOF 29 on Saturday, but his post-fight celebration did have some consequences.
Gaethje retained his WSOF lightweight crown by stopping Foster via leg kicks 1:43 into the opening round of their clash at the Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley, Colo. Gaethje then punctuated his triumph with a backflip off the cage. According to the TheMMAReport.com, Gaethje was warned by the Colorado commission not to execute his trademark celebration prior to the event.
While Gaethje emerged physically unscathed, Foster was not as fortunate. The 31-year-old Oklahoman faces a potential six-month layoff unless he has his left knee cleared by a doctor.
