Ultimate Fighting Championship, Strikeforce and Bellator MMA veteran Paul Daley has signed with kickboxing outfit K-1, the promotion announced this week.
“We are very excited to have Paul Daley joining K-1. Over the past year we’ve been searching for the greatest talents in the world and signing an explosive talent like Paul Daley shows our commitment to that,” stated K-1 Global’s “Ned” Kuruc. “Paul Daley is quite possibly the most explosive fighter in the world, period!”
Daley, 31, of Nottingham, England, last competed on Dec. 14 at BAMMA 14, when he finished Romario Manoel da Silva with second-round punches. He will compete at 80 kilograms (176 pounds).
“What an honor it is for me to be part of such a great legacy and I hope that I can be part of the journey to re-establish the powerhouse brand that K-1 is capable of being,” declared Daley. “I'm going to fight hard, always look for the knockouts, entertain and aspire to be the champion. I ask for all my supporters from MMA to join me on my kickboxing journey.”
