K.J. Noons-Yan Cabral Matchup on Tap for May 30 UFC Fight Night Event
According to a post by Yan Cabral on
his Instagram page, the
Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight will take on
K.J.
Noons in Brazil on May 30 at an untitled
UFC Fight Night event. MMAJunkie.com reported the news Friday
morning.
May 30’s bill will feature another 170-pound showdown in Carlos Condit versus Thiago Alves. No other matchup has been revealed by the Las Vegas-based promotion for the event as of yet.
Cabral (12-1) last saw action in a submission victory against Naoyuki Kotani at UFC 179 last October.
Noons (13-7) took to the cage in December of last year across from Daron Cruickshank. The matchup was ruled a no contest following an accidental eye poke by Noons, which halted the bout prematurely after Cruickshank declared he was unable to see after the accidental foul.
