A welterweight confrontation between strikers Martin Kampmann and John Howard is in the works for UFC Live 4, the promotion announced Wednesday.

The event, which goes down June 26 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, will also feature a 170-pound tilt between Rich Attonito and Matt Brown. Though not officially announced, lightweight stalwarts Joe Stevenson and Tyson Griffin are both expected to make their UFC featherweight debuts at the event, taking on Javier Vazquez and Manny Gamburyan, respectively. The show will air live on cable channel Versus.

Kampmann was last seen losing a controversial unanimous decision to Diego Sanchez in the headliner of March’s UFC Live 3. That loss came on the heels of another heartbreaker for the Dane, who came up on the short end of a split verdict in his fight with current No. 1 contender Jake Shields in October. Prior to that defeat, Kampmann had won four of five contests, besting the likes of Carlos Condit, Jacob Volkmann and Paulo Thiago after dropping to 170 pounds in 2009.

Howard also comes off back-to-back defeats, as “Doomsday” succumbed to a doctor’s stoppage against Jake Ellenberger last August before being outclassed by muay Thai machine Thiago Alves in December. Before his loss to Ellenberger, Howard had won his first four fights in the Octagon, most memorably knocking out Daniel Roberts in March 2010 with a vicious left hook.
