Originally Invicta FC 12 was slated to take place on April 10, but today it was announced that the event will go down on April 24 and feature strawweight champion Katja Kankaanpaa defending her title against Livia Souza.

ESPN.com first reported the date change and was subsequently confirmed by Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp via Twitter. The card will take place at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City and stream live via UFC Fight Pass.

Kankaanpaa, 33, has gone 3-1 in four fights under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner. “Killer Bunny’s” only loss as a professional came against Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor Joanne Calderwood.

Souza, 24, will be making her Invicta FC debut against Kankaanpaa. The Sao Paulo native has won six of her seven professional fights via submission and was among 15 fighters signed by the promotion in February.
