World Series of Fighting has made a couple of colorful additions to its roster.
Nurmagomedov is the younger brother of UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov. Fodor, meanwhile, has received attention for his superhero alter ego, “Phoenix Jones,” which was featured on ESPN. Fodor, the younger brother of UFC and Strikeforce veteran Caros Fodor, was also profiled on Sherdog.com in 2012.
Nurmagomedov is 9-1 as a professional, including a first-round technical knockout of Vladimir Gunzu at Fight Star “Battle on Sura 3” this past February. His has finished all of his nine career triumphs inside the distance.
Fodor went 15-2 during an extensive documented amateur career. Since turning pro in 2013, the 26-year-old Seattle native has gone 5-0-1, with two wins via submission and one by TKO. Fodor last competed in February, tapping out Jason Novelli in the third round at SFL 37 “America 3.”
