An injury has forced UFC officials to cancel Rustam Khabilov’s UFC 170 showdown with Rafael dos Anjos.
A 26-bout pro, Dos Anjos rides a five-fight winning streak into his clash with Nurmagomedov. The 29-year-old posted two victories in 2013, outpointing Evan Dunham in a contentious verdict last May before taking a unanimous nod from Donald Cerrone on Aug. 28 at UFC Fight Night 27.
Nurmagomedov has never tasted defeat as a professional, scoring 21 consecutive victories to begin his career. The 25-year-old Dagestan native has earned five wins since joining the UFC in 2012, most recently outpointing durable veteran Pat Healy this past September at UFC 165.
